Dustin Dwyer reports enterprise and long-form stories from Michigan Radio’s West Michigan bureau. He was a fellow in the class of 2018 at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard. He’s been with Michigan Radio since 2004, when he started as an intern in the newsroom. He left the station in 2010-2011 to be a stay at home dad, and returned to be part of the Changing Gears project, a collaboration between Michigan Radio, Ideastream in Cleveland and WBEZ in Chicago. From 2012 – 2017, he was part of the team for State of Opportunity, and produced several radio documentaries on kids and families in Michigan. He lives in Grand Rapids with his wife and three kids.
Sarah Facchini is Michigan Radio’s Gift and Donor Administration Assistant.
She started working for the station in March of 2018, and is thrilled to be the newest addition to the membership team. Her duties include processing daily gifts from listeners and providing assistance to her membership and development coworkers.
Lauren is a junior at the University of Michigan, where she studies English and American Culture. Her start in radio was volunteering at WCMU in her hometown of Mount Pleasant. In her free time, she enjoys being active outside (weather permitting) and trying new recipes in her apartment’s tiny kitchen—always with Michigan Radio playing in the background!
Lester Graham is the host of The Environment Report, and also hosts Stateside on Fridays. He has reported on public policy, politics, and issues regarding race and gender inequity. He was previously with The Environment Report at Michigan Radio from 1998-2010.

Jennifer Guerra is a senior producer at Michigan Radio. She previously covered poverty and education for the station’s five-year reporting project, State of Opportunity. Before that, she was an arts reporter and on-air host for Michigan Radio. Jen got her start in public radio as a producer at WFUV in the Bronx.
Ellen joined the Michigan Radio development team in 2008. She manages all aspects of the station’s grant fundraising efforts and develops communications documents for an external, stakeholder audience.

Joey Horan is a production assistant at Stateside. He lives on the banks of the Maumee River in Toledo, Ohio, where he also works as a freelance reporter.
Daniel Howes is columnist and associate business editor of The Detroit News. A former European correspondent for The News, he has reported from nearly 25 countries on three continents and in the Middle East. Before heading to Europe in 1999, Howes was senior automotive writer and a business projects writer. Bryce Huffman is Michigan Radio’s West Michigan Reporter. Huffman has been serving as a reporter for Michigan Radio since Fall 2016.
He has covered a variety of Michigan stories, including immigrants facing deportation, residents dealing with ongoing groundwater contamination, and tension between the black community and Grand Rapids police.
Sarah Hulett is Michigan Radio’s senior editor for enterprise and long-form reporting, helping reporters to do their best work. She’s also worked as newscast editor and spent five years as the station’s Detroit reporter, contributing to several reporting projects that won state and national awards.
