Jan joined the business office of Michigan Radio in 2003. After working several years in an office setting and ten years of owning a successful business, she went from employer to employee. Among her many duties at the station, she enjoys the accounting aspect of her job.
Cynthia Canty has been the host of Stateside since the weekday show began in 2012.
A lifelong resident of metro Detroit, she has been on television and radio in Southeast Michigan since 1979.
Steve Carmody has been a reporter for Michigan Radio since 2005.

Dustin Dwyer reports enterprise and long-form stories from Michigan Radio’s West Michigan bureau. He was a fellow in the class of 2018 at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard. He’s been with Michigan Radio since 2004, when he started as an intern in the newsroom. He left the station in 2010-2011 to be a stay at home dad, and returned to be part of the Changing Gears project, a collaboration between Michigan Radio, Ideastream in Cleveland and WBEZ in Chicago. From 2012 – 2017, he was part of the team for State of Opportunity, and produced several radio documentaries on kids and families in Michigan. He lives in Grand Rapids with his wife and three kids.
Lester Graham is the host of The Environment Report, and also hosts Stateside on Fridays. He has reported on public policy, politics, and issues regarding race and gender inequity. He was previously with The Environment Report at Michigan Radio from 1998-2010.

Jennifer Guerra is a senior producer at Michigan Radio. She previously covered poverty and education for the station’s five-year reporting project, State of Opportunity. Before that, she was an arts reporter and on-air host for Michigan Radio. Jen got her start in public radio as a producer at WFUV in the Bronx.
