Jackie came to Michigan Radio as a temporary employee in May 2009. Having worked in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, and though her background is not in public media, she finds her position to be challenging and interesting.
Jackie runs our successful sustaining membership program and also handles most of the customer service calls and emails that come into the station. Every day is different. Interacting with Michigan Radio contributors is fascinating, can be frustrating, but is always a satisfying experience.
When not at work, she spends her time taking dressage lessons, reading, taking yet another writing class or pursuing her other passions: gardening (she’s a Master Gardener) and cooking. She volunteers at a local horse rescue facility on weekends where she cares for geriatric and injured horses while they wait for a new home.
